First off, welcome!  My daughter had genital surgery 4 wks ago at age 7 months.  I state this not to tell you to have the surgery, but to let you know where I am coming from.  The decision to have or not have surgery is VERY personal.  Not all girls are affected to the same degree, like Laura stated.  There was no way my daughter was going to grow into her clitoris, so for us it was a decision of timing.

First off I say follow your heart, look at both sides & talk to Kelley at Cares.  It is overwhelming..but remember nothing has to be done today, so take your time get it straight in your heart & your head, and then make the decision you KNOW to be right for YOUR daughter.  Others will try to tell you what is best, but you are her parent & you are the one who really knows what your daughter needs.
