Hi Maya!

My son was diagnosed with non-cah at about 1 week - talk about your world turning inside out!  I’m sure you were as surprised, worried and upset as we were.  You are fortunante that it is the Non-cah type.  My best advice is to learn as much about CAH as you can, but be careful how much you read on the internet.  I often read info that gets me all upset, so now I rely mainly on my endo and this site.  My son is 9 months old and has been taking hydrocortisone since his diagnosis.  He has never been sick or given us a scare (knock on wood)  and his latest lab results just showed that his 17-OHP is really coming down (thankfully).  You will have your share of doctor vis[expletive deleted] and lab work, but with daily medication the levels will drop.
