Before our 11 yr old swcah daughter had her second surgery (a complete urethraplasty and vaginal reconstruction) she had several uti’s and had bouts with uti like symptoms, meaning we took her in to see the dr thinking she had an infection but she didnt, however the discharge and odor was still there.  After doing the tests taking ultrasound pictures with full bladder and then again empty and seeing a urology specialist (dr poppas in nyc) we found out she was in fact emptying all the way but some was not coming out it was pooling in the vaginal canal.  It went away immediately after the second surgery.  The first surgery by the way was a vaginoplasty and clitoral recession.  She is pleased with the results.  She could stop wearing a sanitary pad at age 9!
