Some on asked a question about SSI for there child on the controversy board. Something like......... has any one had any luck with getting it for there child as they were turned down five times. My Granddaughhter gets SSI from her mother passing away... but I would like to have it transferred to a medical disability(this MAY be controversial). My reason being that if something should happen to myself or husband and she is still young I would know that her meds and hospital bills COULD be paid and she would be able to continue school longer and get a better education. I am not looking for a handout..... as we have paid handsomely into the system and now we have a child in need. Is the process THAT hard to get into? Does the DR. have to refer you? Why would someone be turned away with CAH ... its not like she won’t be on meds the rest of her life and be High risk at some things in life. Any info will be helpful ? Sincerely Cherry Lane

 We have thought of adopting her for better health care ...but this would break my sons heart. She needs so much help with her compartment syndrome scar also. We still don’t know if her leg is FULLY functional. She seems fine , but still walks on her toes with that foot.
