I remember those first few wks! My daughter is now almost 9 months old....a few more days! In the beginning we tried everything and pretty much nothing worked, she would throw whatever we got down her right back up! So...we gave it before her other meds if they were due atthe same time....about 20 minutes or so. We basicly had to have her suck on a pacifier & used a feeding tube that was taped to the tube & placed far back on her cheek...to avoid her tasting it as much as possible. While she sucked on the pacifier we syringed the salt water mixed with some expressed breat milk.
I will tell you that by 3 months she would take the salt water doses without any mixing...just syringe it in & move on to nursing no problem. It takes a while at first. Good luck
