aimeeYou stated in your post to To Anon that you were open for any ideas on how to get toddlers to eat. This may be goofy and remember that I don’t have children but I was thinking about when I worked at this restaurant and the parents would come in to get take out orders with their toddlers.
One evening, I was refilling the stand on the customer side where a parent was getting a take out with his daughter, the little kid kept trying to walk into the employee area and the parent was having trouble ordering because the kid wanted to wander. The parent tried to hold on to his kid but she started to hollow and he was ready to leave a get something at McD’s but the little girl took an interest in me filling up the stand and wanted to at first hold on to all the containers but then she wanted to help me put them in the right places while the Dad was relieved that he could order food for his family. She was very proud of herself that she could help me and wanted to help her Dad with the takeout bags when they were leaving.
So, this is my idea ---What about letting your granddaughter help with some of the meals ? It could be something very small like letting her bring the cans from the pantry or stiring the veggies in the bowl and then make a big deal that she helped you with it and just maybe she might be more inclined to eat what she helped you with?
Just an idea : )
