re: Having another Baby after 1st one with CAH

I have 2 children. The youngest has SWCAH while the older is non-CAH. I heard from my doctor that you can now take Dexamethasone during pregnancy which can reduce the virilization of females with CAH. She suggested that if I were to become pregnant again, I should contact her as soon as I find out. We have not decided if we’re going to have another child (a decision which has nothing to do with the CAH), but I feel it is great to know your options in case anything changes.  There was an article in the Winter 2004 newsletter from the Cares Foundation called, "Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis: Another Alternative." If you haven’t already read it, you should check it out.
