My husband was originally started on cortisone which helped minimally they then put him on prednisone which he has been on ever since. Three months after they put him on it I became pregnant with our daughter (now 17)  it has worked well for him, his niece has been on cortisone since birth 20 years ago and I never heard of Dex till I found this web site!
