I am the mother of a 3 year old with SWCAH.  We are looking for a private school to send him to starting with pre-K next year.  None of the private schools in our area have a nurse on staff.  As CAH is so rare and difficult to explain, I have been asking the schools how they handle asthmatic or diabetic children.  Some flat out say they do not provide ANY support other than doling out meds for the kids to self-medicate.  Others say they are willing to discuss our son’s situation with us and see if they might be able to provide the medical support he needs.  (My biggest concern being if he needs a shot.)

Anyone out there have a kid in private school?  How have you handled the "no nurse" situation?
