Gill, The best thing to do is to either stop by your local fire station or look in the phone book in the front under your county and look for EMS.  I chose to stop by the 2 fire stations that could possibly respond if we needed them.  I gave them a copy of our emergency letter and talked to them about our needs, responsibilities and what their response would be for our situation.  I liked doing this because it put a face to the name.  I took my girls with me and they loved it!  They left with pencils, stickers and got to sit in the fire truck.  I highly recommend that everyone make personal contact and give a copy of the emergency letter to your local first responder.  In the middle of an emergency is not the time to figure things out.  When we had to call the ambulance for our daughter in June, things went very smoothly.  Good luck to you!
