As a 40 year old man who’s been on prednisone or hydryocortisone for 36 of them, when I take my meds, and whether I’m taking the proper dose, or not, DEFINITELY affects my mood.  In fact, when I become irratible, the first question my wife asks is whether or not I’ve taken my medicine.  

If any of you parents have kids who seem to be going through mood changes, it may be normal adolescent behavior, but it may also be dose-related.  Make sure to have their levels tested frequently, as their needs can change as their bodies develop.  Mine certainly did.
