We use mail order as that’s what our insurance requires.  It’s quite a bit cheaper than out of pocket . . . except on the prednisolone.  We pay the cash price for it because it’s cheaper that way than with the co-pay!!  (disgusting, huh??!!??)  But we’ve had no problem with them . . . I just order it about 1 month before I’m due to run out.  That way I still have plenty on hand.  I do have a 30 day prescription too that we get filled at Walmart in case of emergency.
