Thank you to all of you. We had a memorial service for Lion, and I personally have written a letter that has been sent to Hartz, the EPA, and has been sent out to all the vets to post in their waiting rooms as well as put on every bulletin board I can find. I will be giving it to one of the writers of our local paper at church this morning for her to put in the paper.

I absolutely will be having Chelsea write a letter to Hartz as well, but she is just not ready yet. We will not be replacing Lion in the near future, if ever. We do have another cat, though she is very very old (24!)  as well as a beloved ferret who is a total clown and has helped to put smiles back on our faces. Chelsea had a very difficult time the night Lion passed and we were up until 3 AM talking. The hardest and saddest thing she said to me was that she wanted to go to Heaven to be with Lion. That completely shattered my already broken heart. Of course I explained to her that if she did that, we would all have to move to Heaven because we couldn’t live without her! I also told her that it is our job now to warn other people about what happened to Lion so that if we can help it, no other kitties die.

I am not sure if I have a legal case here or not, or if it is worth pursueing. I truly appreciate your offer to corroborate Carol, and I am sorry you sufferred a similar circumstance.
