louisehi there! i have a 9 month old son with swcah who was in the PICU at 2 weeks of age. i COMPLETELY remember your feelings but ......know it will get better and this is a great website. my little guy was on a 7am-3pm-11pm schedule at that time. he was getting cortef, florinef and salt supplements. at that age, we had frequent labs b/c it took a good 3 months for sodium and potassiums to get normalized. now, i give him his meds at 7am-2pm-9pm, which is working good. yes, i did have to wake him and still do, but he will adjust and go right back to sleep. your fellow is too young now to have a good sleep pattern, so dont worry too much about that. we have had about 3 times that the solucortef shot was necessary. did your endo tell you about that?? that is crucial to his care, esp. with winter on the way. please feel free to email me if you have any questions and CONGRATS!!!! it will get easier!
