HopeCongrats on your little one! My son is 17 months old and was diagnosed at 1 month of age during a hospital admission for adrenal crisis. He’s been on the 7am, 3pm, 11pm dosing schedule since he was a month old. We give meds on this schedule, even when he’s sleeping. We just dissolve his tablets and dispense them with an oral syringe. He doesn’t even wake up, just smacks his lips a little and swallows them down. As someone else mentioned, I was always worried about ’losing’ meds by leaving traces behind in the cup we used to dissolve the tablets, so I just started dissolving them directly in the syringe. We also buy a flavored syrup from our local children’s hospital which we add to any doses he takes while awake. I know it’s so overwhelming at first, but this board is the best. Make sure your Endo gives you a prescription for the Solu-cortef and instructs you on when and how to give it, and ask tons of questions here.
Enjoy your little man!
