early morning blood draws

Not long ago I decided that since my 11 yr old swcah daughter was in puberty I was going to get back on top of tracking the details of her growth and her labs.  Of course I have always known what they were and what they meant but I stopped logging everything down about 5 yrs ago.  Now I am wondering....

I would like to know what you guys all think about getting labs at 8 am (with no medication since the night before) and also how much of a difference the lab results would be if she had taken the tests later in the day with medication in her system.  She has always been well managed and takes her meds only twice a day.  We did give them 3 times a day until she was about 3 and then changed the mid day dose.  She just takes them at 8am and 8pm.  Slight dose changes have only been required a couple times over the past several years.
