Bone Age was off by two years, what now?
Oct. 4th, 2004   11:14am

My daughter is 9 1/2 years old and a salt waster.  She just had her bone age x-ray done and it came back saying that she is only  7 years and 10 months.  Of course her endo is out of town until Wednesday and it was his assistant that called me to inform me of this.  She said that the endo would be in touch when he returns to the office.  She also said that Ashley’s bone age came back correct last year when she was 8.  How can that be?  How can her bones show that she is 8 and than a year later show that she is only 7?  That doesn’t make sense.  What is supposed to happen now.  This is the first time her bone age came back with a problem.  The Dr. said that her labs came back fine.  Is there another medicine that she is supposed to take?  Any info would help.

Thank you,

Lisa V.
