Clown fish have the ability to change sex depending on the needs of the school.  If the school has too many male fish, some of them become female.  If there are too many females, some of them become male.  But unlike with humans who transition, clownfish who undergo this naturally occuring event are biologically able to either fertilize the eggs. or lay them.

I didn’t mean that I was singlehandedly outing Nemo and it was said more tongue in cheek.  The biological diversity of clownfish is a pretty well-known fact.
