I usually just read on this board and post very rarely, but I had to post on this one, as I am in the medical profession and know a little about this.  A physician cannot deny emergency treatment to an established patient because of nonpayment of a bill.  This is called patient abandonment.  The physician must legally give a patient 30 days notice that he/she is going to discharge a patient from their practice.  I think certainly that your medical/legal rights have been compromised and you might have a very strong legal leg to stand on.  I would never bring my daughter back to this physician!
