Kelly,  that was a great news letter.  I particularly found the study results done by DeborahP. Merke, M.D. and Julie Hardin, B.A. extremely interesting.  I have long believed that  there was a relationship between me being a carrier of 21-Hydroxylase Deficiency and a medley of illnesses that I have been plagued with for the majority of my life.  I can’t wait to show these results to my GP and Endo with whom I have shared my thoughts about carriers with.

The only thing left to know now would be how to treat it so I can feel a little better.  Should I take Cortef?  It may be of interest to some that My sister-in-law (who has not yet been tested for carrier status) had been in declining health for some time.  She has lived an extremely stressful life (although it could also be said that she doesn’t handle stress as well as others) and was just diagnosed with complete adrenal failure.  I had told her of my "Carrier Beliefs" several times before but her doctors were stead fast in believing that carrier status should yield no difference in health or reaction to stressors.  She will be getting tested soon and, if she tests positive, it may help to change some of these doctors feelings on the subject.  The younger doctors are being taught in school that there can be a carrier/symptom relationship.

We will see what Dr. Rassmison’s study shows.  I am excited to see that!

Oh, I also wanted to ask you who that handsome group of people are on page 3?(;>)

We are going to Disney on Saturday and getting back later in the week so I am not sure if we can make your Conference but I will be there if it is at all possible.  I am hoping to revisit with some of the people that were at the New England CAH Gathering.
