My daughter (now 11 yrs) had a lot of urinating issues as well.  She "sprayed"like it as being forced out through a pinhole opening.  Hers was related to the urethera and the vaginal opening but her dr told her to open her legs wider when she peed or sit on the toilet backwards.  She was in a public preschool and it just wasnt practical to have her sit backwards so we had her do the wider spread thing.  It worked for the spraying but she still had leaking issues and such related to her urethera so she had to get that fixed.  Maybe that will help.
