I am 37 weeks pregnant and just got the results from my Group B Strep test back - positive.  I had already been scheduled for a c- section due to the size of my wonderful first daughter (9 lbs 7 ozs) .  I am wondering if anyone out there has dealt with a positive result and what they did about the antibiotics that they typically administer during labor and if it caused a longer stay for the baby afterwards.  I have read some scarey stuff on the internet since I got the results back and would like to hear others experiences with this situation.

I apologize for posting this off topic topic but I have been coming to this site since the birth of our now 2 year old SWCAH daughter and have come to value the opinions and expreiences of the members.  I apologize if I have offended anyone.
