re: thoughts on the carrier article

Hi All, I wondered the same thing after reading that article. I had anxiety in college but chalked it up to little sleep, unhealthy eating and stress from tests and school work. I had a bout of postpartum after my 1st and 3rd son.   I wonder if instead of treating everyone with antidepressents, maybe a full adrenal profile and meds like our kids are taking would be more effective.

While I was pregnant with my 4th CAH son and took the dex for those few short weeks....I felt GREAT!!!! I even joked with my husband that maybe I needed dex or cortef for my body to work properly. When I stopped (cold turkey....don’t do that ever!) I had a terrible 2 months. I was very anxious.  It was terrible.

I hope I don’t ever get in a situation where I need to get professional help but if I do, I think I’m going to start with an endocrinologist!!
