O.K., my pediatrician agrees that my son’s hand is swollen out of proportion but he doesn’t think it’s a result of retaining fluid due to excess salt.  He claims, that if that would be the case, the bloating would have to go downward to his feet and since it is mostly obvious on his hand, he believes it to be an allergy reaction, which is also possible with this child.  In any case, I’ll be keeping an eye out to make sure it is not getting worse.
