Risty.... I was not implying that you are uneducated. Just that depression is a very complicated and puzzling disorder. Even the most educated people do not understand it. I agree how one feels is not an excuse for negative or criminal behavior or dangerous. Since depression is not a controlled emotion this is a VERY gray area. No black and white on this issue.... just lots of compassion and praying for the unfortunate ones who can’t afford health care or do not have family or emotional bonds with a greater power to guide them. Some of the facets of this disorder is the ability to be very giving and forgiving of others that are not as fortunate. Although some may think depression is a weakness I feel blessed and use it for strength. To be at the pits of hell one moment and think you just can’t pull yourself from the dreadful lost soul mood and then with the smile of your sweet child you are soaring with the Eagles. The Lord has trully blessed me with the incentive tocontrol my emotions and excel and survive in the most positive manner possible. Without a diagnosis and meds I would not experience the GRAND scheme of this world the way others view it. The fact I get to do this with out rose colored glasses makes me even happier. Never blame anything on how you are raised... this is an insult to who raised you... especially when you have the power to change it if you want ! Sincerely CherryCherry Lane
