RistyI thought I’ll add a little incident of my own. I recently had a hospital doctor argue with me that CAH is much more common and sever in girls than in boys. When I tried to explain to him that it is the same mutated genes and only an outward presentation that makes it appear more sever in girls, and if anything, boys were more likely to go into crisis after birth because of it not being diagnosed right away, he became mad at my ’trying to teach him’. He claimed that they where diagnosing it all the time at their center and know better. And believe it or not, this incident happened at New York Presbyterian Hospital... You would think that at least there the doctors knew better...
I guess some doctors simply can’t stand it that some lowly uneducated parents ’think they know more than they do’.
Hope you are able to straighten things out with the emergency room.
