Much better.

That was a lot more helpful i think.  Are there any other reasons why this screen could come back high?  What if just one of us are a carrier, would that cause the screen to be higher?  Jayson doesn’t startle at loud noises-doors slamming, dogs barking, dropping things.  Aren’t most newborns slightly jumpy at loud sounds?  He rarely cries unless he needs food or a diaper change or a burp.  Other times he’s just tired of being held or something.  Right now, it’s very hard for me, at night time, to get him to wake up and eat as he should.   The ped. says he has to have 4 oz. every 4 hrs because he hasn’t gained as much weight has he should have by now. *6-6 at birth, 6-9 at 2 wks*  Occasionally during the day he’ll take 2 oz or so and go to sleep for a few hrs then take 2 more.   sometimes he’ll take 4 oz then about 2.5 hrs. later he’ll take another ounce.  Don’t get me wrong: i do not stick a bottle in his mouth every time he fusses.  I always check his diaper, try to maybe get a burp, i rock him, i walk him, i let him lay on my stomach because this sometimes soothes him, and if nothing works then i try an ounce.  I started out breastfeeding but it was incredibly painful so i transitioned to formula.  He slightly has diarrhea, but he’s not listless or lethargic, and during the day he eats well, but like i said at night he’s not easy to wake.  I’ve never had a kid, of course, so I don’t know what to think....
