We used yogurt and applesauce without any trouble but I think it all depends on each child’s taste.

Good luck!  I will be anxious to hear the other options as I have another one on the way and we will be starting over with the whole crushing bit.  We were luck, our daughter learned to swallow her pills at a very young age.
