I have told this story before on this board. When Cortef suspesion went "bad" back in the days, and went unavailable we had to switch to crushing the pill. Well my daughter was like almost three at the time. The original Cortef suspesion had a special orange flavor to it. We tried crushing it in punch and she spit it across the room. Literally. We tried EVERY liquid. It was a night mare. My husband finally suggested we mimic the suspension. We found this orange flavored punch concentrate in the store. Really cheap. Looked just like the suspension. It was that punch you add water to but we didn’t. We kept it in the concentrate form. It is in a giant bottle. So anyway, we told her it was the good stuff again and she took it and never blinked an eye. It was amazing and breath taking for me. This way we could continue to give it to her when she slept like we did the suspension. We put it in a syringe. We used a 3ml syringe. We would grind it up in a bowl we got from our local pharmacy. We would squirt 2ml.s of this orange concentrate in the crushed up bowl, took a rubber scraper and got it all sucked up in the syringe. It worked like a charm. Everyone was happy. Then one day as I was grinding the pill up, my daughter was sitting on the counter watching me. She was like almost 4 at the time. She asked to taste the pill. I almost fainted. I said sure, popped it in her mouth, and watched. She said, "That wasn’t bad at all." From that day on she took it by mouth. She actually chews it and drinks it down with water today. It is amazing.  And quite gross if you ask me. But it makes me happy.  Makes her healthy.
