Lynn, I found the info about carriers only producing 1/2 as much Cortisol and non-carriers interesting.  I had never seen/heard this before.  I would have thought that since a carrier has one non-affected gene and one affected gene and the non-affected gene would be dominant, that they would produce a normal amount of Cortisol.  Now this makes me wonder because I have NEVER been able to stand the heat.  I perspire more than any of my friends when I am out in the summer heat or when I exercise hard.  Does this mean our aldosterone production may be affected as well?
