Our daughter was born at 34 weeks, and her first screen came back negative for CAH. After 10 days at the hospital, we were getting ready to leave, when a nurse noticed our daughter had ambiguous genitalia. The doctors told us that because I had been given steroids before her birth to make sure her lungs were developed, it may have thrown off the screen. We then did a second round of tests at Children’s Hospital where it was confirmed she has CAH. We are so thankful for that nurse, knowing what we know now!cdow
