Welcome to the CAH "family".  I have 2 daughters both with ssw CAH.  They are 8 & 6.  I have found since discovering this board several years ago that you basically set up a penpal situation.  I have reached out to certain people to ask specific question and sometimes that reaching out leads to amazing friendships!  Also, you should contact CARES or MAGIC to see if there is a support group in your area for "in person" interaction.  If there is not one in your area, maybe you could start one.  If you don’t mind me asking, where do you live?

I think what you are saying is so important.  It’s necessary for us all to be communicating as families and as the kids get older with each other.  When our daughter was first born, we did not have internet and but I was able to find, through MAGIC, a family in Pennsylvania that helped us out tremendously.  That was back in the good old days of snail mail.  Feeling isolated with CAH no longer needs to be.  Email me anytime you want with any questions or things you want to talk about!  :)
