I am a 27 year-old woman and I had some problems due to the surgery.  I have intercourse problems.   This was my parents decision, the surgery was made when I was 14 months old.  Of course I canīt recall anything, but this was (or is) a traumatic and painfull surgery.   I have been under psychological treatment for many years and now I can have a normal relationship.   I strongly advise parents to talk with their daughters about this procedure soon as they start puberty.
