Anyone ever have their child take Dexadron for Croup?

Hi all. My daughter had to go into see her ped. this afternoon because she started a barky cough. Sure enough she has croup now. The poor kid is so tapped out. I am tapped out. I was told this is a steriod to bring swelling of her larnx down. Forgive my spelling I know there is a g in there somewhere,  but I am too tired to check. They said it is a steriod but not like Cortef. So the poor kid has been stressed dosed almost all week with Cortef and now they gave her a good dose of this steriod. It helped a bit but she was barking again before bed. Now she seems to be resting comfortably with a cool mist and ice cold room she is sleeping in. I of course will be sleeping on the floor next to her. She looks SO pale this evening it worries me. Of course I may start paranoia since I have not slept a full night since last Saturday. She says she feels great. I still can’t help but to worry myself to death. I should be sleeping to fight off this sore throat and here I sit typing watching her sleep. I just hate when she gets some major meds. that I am not comfortable with. I hate giving her asprin. This is just killing me.  Please keep her in your prayers. Thanks!
