LauraYes, no asprin. I was delirious last night. Sorry guys. Thanks for your support too. You are the best. She slept sound until 1 am. Then she was up coughing again. My husband, and a "nurse on call" I called from the E.R. convinced me that it was ok to sleep. As soon as my eyes rolled back in my head she sat up in bed barking. So I took all our blankets and pillows and put them on our 5 by 5 bathroom floor. I then turned the shower on hot and let it steam us up. Let me tell you this. There is no spa I could have gone to that could make my pores any cleaner than they are today. This quieted her down tremendously. That an a lot of prayers I tell you. I turned of the shower after the 20 minute requirement and she stirred. I asked her if she wanted to return to bed and she said no. Hey, my motto, don’t wake a sleeping dog, or in this case, a sick kid. I curled up next to her and we "slept". She slept sound all night. I slept until the stiffness woke me about every hour and then I would turn. But no real complaints here. She slept without barking and not going to the E.R. She just woke up and says she is ok but her throat hurts her really bad. I figured that much. I plan to hand her over to daddy when he gets home at 5 today. Then I plan to go into a cough syrup induced coma and not get up until Sunday.
Cherry, you crack me up with your remedy. Don’t think you are too far off. My mom’s mom in the 50’s would make a hot mustard paste to put on her chest. Let me tell you. Either one is going to be used by me today if this continues!!! Bloomin’ onion! You are killin’ me. That is so funny. I needed the humor today. Thanks again everyone!
