My son often says that his stomach hurts.  I used to give him his med. as soon as he woke up, but now i wait until after he has breakfast, and then after a afternoon snack, and then right before bed, and he usually has something to eat then.  This has helped the complaining some; however, he still probably says it ever other day, but he says it and then goes on.  If he acted as if he were in pain I would have it checked out, but it is almost like it is just something to say.  I do think the meds probably cause somewhat of a tummyache.
