ToniaMy girls (both ssw cah) have terrible tummies. They both take prevacid for the acid reflux and pain they have. It seems to help but it doesn’t make it all go away. The gastro doc said the cortef was causing the damage. And there is definetly damage in my girls. We had the scope done and there was enough concern to put them on prevacid in the hopes of preventing an ulcer. We took them to the GI doc because everyday they would complain about alot of pain and they would spit up. This has gotten less with the medication. They also have trouble from time to time with constipation. There was a while when my oldest daughter was constantly consitpated causing lots of pain. Constipation is even if they are able to have bowel movements but they are hard. We make sure they drink lots and lots of water and keep their fiber intake high.
We always make sure they have food & or milk with their meds. Even at school they get milk and graham crackers from the nurse at med time.
Hope your little one feels better soon!!
Blessings
