wow sue g! tough calls.  my son with cah was been in the hospital 3 times. when he almost died b/c the newborn screen didnt come back due to christmas holidays and the other 2 times for vomiting. i am thinking what i would do in this situation.....definitely the tripling and the tylenol. after that last throw up, i would have given him the shot and waited an hour or so. the shot doesnt freak me out too much b/c i am a nurse, though. have you ever given the shot?? of course you can never be too cautious so there is no wrong answers. my endo’s instruction sheet says to give the shot first in that split second time frame and THEN react. whether it be to evaluate for an hour, call the doc, call ems, etc. every time i have had to give my son the shot, it was not b/c he threw up, it was b/c he got VERY pale and lethargic. he has thrown up 3 times in an hour and i havent given him the shot and he did fine. having said that, he has thrown up once, gotten pale and lethargic and i had to give him the shot. i never know how he will react. i’m rambling. bottom line for me is that your child is YOUR  child. trust your gut reaction. the rest of it is just inconvenience and money. not really important stuff in my opinion.
