We had our son’s blood drawn for DNA analysis in mid-September and still have not heard anything from the genetics lab.  I’ve called each week for the last three weeks, and have just been told that someone will call me back.  Is it typical for there to be such a long delay in obtaining results?  The lab slip said 2-3 weeks for results to be sent back, but we are well past that.  I’m just wondering if I’m being too impatient or if it’s time to submit my request in writing with a copy to the head of the department.
