re: School refusing to give solu-cortef shot in the event of emergancy

My sons school won’t give the shot either but I have one teacher who said if I put her name on a paper and gave her permission to take him she would take the meds and go to her car and give him the shot.

Our EMS won’t give it to him either. Everyone seems so worried about a law suit but I’d be more worried about a child dying and then what would happen.

This is one of the main reasons I work from my house. We live about 10 min. from the school and if he needs me I can be there in a flash. Hopefully once he’s older he can learn to give it to himself and we’ll be alright. Until then I love doing daycare so I’ll keep doing it so I can be here for him.
