With infant girls, sometimes the labia well fuse & the pediatrician will give a estrogen cream.  What did your pediatrician  say?  They are pretty familiar with this and should have given you the cream right then.  When my SWCAH daughter was born a friend of mine had her daughter, she needed the cream & now is fine.
