hi sue. when my son was that age, we used the liquid normal saline too. when he was 6 months, it was getting annoying. we switched to 1/4 tsp of table salt every 24 hours. i just measured that out, put it in a little tupperware, and shook it in is bottles and jars of food! much easier and we are still doing it today at 11 months. however, now i am not as strict since he is eating adult food too. he LOVES salty food like bacon and deli meat!!
