Ash, I agree with the other postings and as I said on the UK board, you must not stop your meds or alter them without medical advice as it could be very dangerous. You say you see an endo in London - is this a paediatric endo? Care and treatment varies considerably across the capital and I feel that as you obviously do not have a good relationship with the doctor concerned, you should consider requesting a second opinion. I can recommend an excellent doctor in London, who I frequently refer patients to, who understands the weight issues and has helped others, by either reducing or changing their medication entirely and in really extreme cases, where this has not helped and control is very difficult, will discuss adrenalectomy (although this is a last resort). There are all sorts of options and help available (there is also a counsellor or dietician who can be involved, if you wish). In the UK, under the Patients Charter, you are entitled to a second opinion and can do so via your GP. Could you discuss this with him/her or ask your mother to do so on your behalf? I am sure she must also be very worried about you. I would be happy to talk to either of you - please e-mail me. Don’t risk your life, this is only a temporary problem that can be resolved with the right help and care.Sue
