I read the posts that Ash wrote and those who wrote back. Now a ? I have always had. Our endo told us that our son would carry extra weight with the meds and that was just a side effect. Right now he’s at the 40th % for his age in weight and he’s all muscle. So will this weight gain happen when he’s a teenager? Like it hits when everything is already hard for a kid?

SO my question is if you or your child did gain weight when did it happen? I was also wondering about the different meds. My son takes cortef but my girlfriends son took prednisone (sp??) and he started to gain and also had acne (he’s only 8). Could it just be a difference that a different medication might help?
