re: PLEASE Help! Kidney Stones in Carriers

Oh yeah! Been there, done that .... I’ve passed huge stones (5 mm was the biggest!)at least twice in the last 7 yrs, and have passed "gravel" several times during that period too. I’ve just had gallbladder surgery too, because it was "packed full of stones". My doctor did an MRI about a year ago, and proclaimed that I was "just one of those lucky stone producers", but now I’m wondering if being a carrier has something to do with it, too. If you can "save" a stone somehow, they can analyze it to see what type it is, and this helps with how your doctor will proceed treating you. In my case, the stones were "oxilate" based, so I’m now on a low oxilate diet (no coffee, tea or caffeine of any kind, chocolate, nuts, spinach, beets, and a few other odd things.) I have no idea what my sodium or cortisol levels were at the time, so don’t know if there’s any correlation there.

That’s the only insight I can offer .... but I WILL pray that the doctors will be able to do something for you! NO FUN, I know!!

Blessings
