My girlfriend told me she had this condition and after reading a bit more about it I was kind of in shock. She told me that it was something different than it was. I can understand that she is overly self-concious but she doesn’t need to be around me. I like her either way and I never knew until now she might be a bit different. Btw, I’ve been dating her for well over a year and she’s  18 y/o. I would just like to know a little bit more about it and if they are any serious health risks I should be watching out for.  I know her doctor had told her and her family she really couldn’t do drugs or drink in heavy amounts, of course this won’t be a problem. I also know that if she goes through serious body shock of some form or another she has to have a cortisone shot. I don’t understand much about this condition and I’d like to know more because we plan on moving in with each other as we goto school. I hear her parents say something about a bracelet when she gets her license in a few weeks, but I don’t understand all that much about it all.  I’m also curious if it affects her moods and might be a contributing factor in mood swings and depression.
