Michele KI went through the same problem with my daughter. She wasw 9 when diagnosed with non-classical CAH and said she could no longer attend IN CASE she needed an injection in an emergency. I was a very faithful Catholic at the time and the Diocese wouldn’t budge at all. I sat in school with her until they decided to get some nurses on a voluntary basis. My this time it was a very public issue. It was on all the news stations and newspapers. The Diocese was really feeling the heat from the public -- the public was in support of us. The didn’t care that I could be there within 10 minutes; I had a doctor’s office who was five minutes away who offered their services; nothing satisfied them until the public got angry. There was a private Catholic Academy who offered to take her. The price of course was tripled and I have three children. I would talk to your Pastor and then go up the chain. I am no longer Catholic. My daughter had thought God turned her back on her because of the Bishop’s decision -- it was awful. I’m sure there are some great Bisdhops and dioceses. I was just so hurt that they would turn their back on us when we needed them.
I wish you luck and will pray for you and your daughter.
