CherryLaneLisa,
I said I would get back to you later so here goes................... Yes I believe the medication makes some children more aggressive. Medication effects everyone some way or another and I can’t imagine these little children on the emotional hormonal roller coaster they are on and meds not effect them ! I can tell when Mitzis meds are wearing thin and she is usually acting out. Not terribly ..but never the less acting out . It is mostly when she is tired or upset about something which is usually the case for all small kids! LOL Aggressive I think is a harsh word to use for them as I think they are more attention seeking than most kids. Mitzi is VERY high strung and craves attention even when she has our undivided attention. She seems to be VERY bossy and strong willed. She is not this way with anyone but her Poppy and myself. (maybe she has us wrapped ) lol. I do think the meds play a BIG role in our childrens pysch. I read all the parenting books and use every ounce of energy to help her adapt to different situations. If I was a betting person I would diagnose her as ADD....... but , then again she can sit and play and entertain herself for some time. Maybe because she is an ONLY child and has no one to interact with and she expects us to be her playmate?? Anyway I think she will be fine and if I see any aggressive type behavior I immediately get really soft with her and talk soothing and she usually calms. Hope this helps! OH Yes on top of it all she is going through her whining stage! UGH! Of course I know all of this is NOTHING! I know what to expect during the teen years! LOL Sincerely Cherry Lane
