I’m a stay-at-home mom, but our son is only 6 months old and I’ve been wanting my husband to go with me to the endo appointments until I feel more secure/confident about the whole thing. Well, he was having some problems at work because of going to these appointments. And not from his boss as much as his co-workers. While this isn’t a problem for employment, it’s still a pain at work do deal with such insensitive people.

So what I did was I got some brochures on CAH from the CARES foundation and one day when I was visiting I left some brochures for my husband to pass out. According to him, they really didn’t ’get it’ until then. Especially the life-threatening part. But that was just last week, we’l have to see when it’s time for his next appointment. But  maybe something like that would help you with your boss?
