louisewhoa lesly! don’t get me on my soapbox. i know all too well. we did the same thing with flip flopping the suspension and pill. i went to vanderbilt and the nat’l inst. of health for opinions. the VAST majority of experts do not use the pill. my endo (who i like a lot) has used it a lot and never had problems with it which is why he favors it for the exact dosing. however, he is not an expert on cah. a great pediatric endo. but NOT a CAH expert. when i discussed with him some of these other endo’s views on the liquid ( and explained that between the 2 of them they currently see over 150 kids with cah) , he agreed to switch back to the pill. secondly, i do not feel like the 147 17ohp is that bad. i would just recheck in 2 months or so. my son’s last 17ohp was 24--for that we went from 6.25 mgs per day to 5 mgs per day and we are rechecking soon. a good doctor will listen to your concerns and investigate him/herself. you are not being unreasonable at all in my opinion.
